Why I chose to study Japanese
I have always wanted to
learn Japanese formally. My first
experience in learning Japanese was about 10 years ago, when I had an
opportunity to take a Japanese course in Korea. My father had studied abroad in
Japan for several years, and he helped me learn hiragana and useful phrases. However,
I did not like the way the course was taught, and I remember nearly none of the
materials taught. I wish I could gain a lot from this course. So far, I have
enjoyed the class and have not had any challenges yet.
Dear リーさん,
ReplyDeleteIt's cool that your father has studied abroad in Japan before. Have you ever done a study abroad in Japan or do you plan on doing one in the future? It seems like that may be something interesting to do once you've finished learning Japanese or simultaneously. Also, I'm sorry about your previous experience with learning Japanese, but I'm sure that this course will be very beneficial to your Japanese learning. It's good to hear that you are not having any difficulties with the class and are enjoying it.

I do not have a plan to study abroad in Japan, but I am planning to visit Japan this December! Hope you also enjoy this class!
DeleteDear Lee san,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for your previous Japanese learning experience and glad to hear that you are enjoying the class so far, I wish both of us can gain a lot from this Japanese course. Also, hopefully you can communicated in Japanese with your father in the future.
I also wish you can gain a lot from this Japanese course! Thanks!
DeleteI had a similar experience with Sanskrit a few years ago. The main problem was the lack of structure for the course. I wonder if knowing Korean helps with learning Japanese. I know the script is completely different, but are they similar in grammar and syntax?
ReplyDeleteKnowing Korean definitely helps with grammar. I was surprised by how similar Japanese and Korean sentence structures are!
DeleteIt's cool your father studied abroad in Japan and your father helped you studying Japanese.Japan is far from your city.If you have a plan visiting Japan, you should speak in Japanese!
ReplyDeleteI should! I should also try to visit Japan with my dad one day!
